Electrical Maintenance Technician

Micron's Facilities Team is looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to work in our new semiconductor fab in Boise, Idaho. We have the opportunity to bring in a high-energy, tenacious, and ambitious individual with a strong work ethic and integrity to join the team.

As an Electrical Maintenance Technician at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of all the medium and low voltage systems on-site up to 35kV. This includes distribution switch gear, UPS units, dynamic UPS units, power quality systems, transformers, cable and bus systems, VFDs, and controls and monitoring systems. In this role, you will perform preventive and predictive maintenance, corrective work, inspections, and coordination of work activities performed by contractors.

Responsibilities
  • Follow all safety procedures, LOTO, and NFPA 70E standards
  • Extensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code NFPA
    70
  • Understanding of electrical one-line diagrams and the ability to perform feeder switching on electrical switchboards with redundant feeds
  • Provide timely and detailed preventative maintenance on highly technical facilities equipment
  • Provide effective and proficient responses to restore equipment to service as soon as possible in the event of a system failure
  • Identify and respond according to alarm conditions
  • Provide effective and timely support to resolve equipment issues and maintain records on maintenance, testing, and calibrations of equipment
  • Identify and reduce equipment defects to improve quality and maximize system stability
Qualifications
  • 3 years of electrical industrial, semiconductor, or related field or equivalent experience or equivalent military experience
  • 2 years of maintenance experience
  • Ability to work 12 hours shifts (3 on/4 off and 4 on/3 off), and potentially rotate from days to nights every 4 months
Preferred Qualifications
  • Valid Electrical journeymen license
  • 5 years experience
  • Experience and/or interest in developing Agentic AI workflows into current or future processes.
