401(k) Retirement Plan Paid Holidays Paid Vacation Company Uniforms with Laundry Service Position Summary As an HVAC Installation Trainee, you'll work alongside experienced installation professionals learning how to install and replace residential heating and cooling systems. Through on-the-job training and real-world field experience, you'll develop the technical skills needed to become a successful HVAC Installer.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to learn the trade from experienced mentors while working on a variety of residential replacement and new installation projects.
Primary Responsibilities Assist with residential HVAC system replacements and new equipment installations
Help install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, thermostats, and ventilation systems
Load and transport materials, tools, and equipment to job sites
Learn proper installation procedures, manufacturer specifications, and company quality standards
Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and installation equipment
Maintain clean, organized job sites and company vehicles
Communicate professionally with homeowners while representing Jim's Heating & Cooling Follow OSHA safety requirements and company safety policies
Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development
Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GEDValid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Dependable attendance and willingness to learn
Mechanical aptitude with an interest in working with tools and equipment
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
Comfortable working in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and varying weather conditions
Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications HVAC trade school enrollment or recent graduateEPA Universal Certification (or ability to obtain)
Previous construction, warehouse, mechanical, or general labor experience
Familiarity with basic hand and power tools
Desire to build a long-term career in residential HVAC installation
