Job Overview Brix Paving Northwest is looking for a dedicated, skilled Curb Machine Operator to be a key part of our team! The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety and efficiency, with a strong commitment to teamwork. You’ll be responsible for various tasks related to the preparation, pouring, and finishing of concrete structures. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to follow instructions accurately.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate curb machines to pour and shape concrete curbs, sidewalks, and barriers according to project specifications.
- Set up, adjust, and align curb machines for proper grade, elevation, and consistency.
- Monitor concrete flow, ensuring correct mix, timing, and finish quality during operation.
- Read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, and site plans to follow layout requirements.
- Operate CDL A vehicles to transport materials, equipment, and supplies to and from job sites.
- Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations.
- Safely load, secure, and unload heavy equipment and materials.
- Operate heavy machinery, such as excavators, loaders, skid steers, and backhoes, to move and prepare materials.
- Use hand and power tools to shovel, trowel, and finish concrete surfaces.
- Maintain effective communication with team members, supervisors, and clients to understand project requirements and coordinate tasks accordingly
- Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Participate in regular safety meetings and training sessions.
Qualifications
- Operating experience with concrete slip‑form equipment.
- Valid CDL A license (preferred) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to interpret site grading, blueprints, and local specifications to adjust and achieve accurate concrete surface finishes.
- Willingness to perform manual labor tasks alongside equipment operator duties.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and practices, including knowledge of OSHA regulations related to concrete work.
- Effective communication with team members, supervisors, and clients to understand project requirements and coordinate tasks accordingly.
- Ability to work flexible shifts including day, nights, and weekends.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and adapt to different project environments.
- Ability to work efficiently and meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards
- Positive attitude, reliability, and professionalism in all aspects of the job.
