Ada County Highway District (ACHD) is looking for General Equipment Operators to join our Maintenance Team. You’ll operate a variety of equipment, work alongside a team, and help keep Ada County’s roads and infrastructure safe and in good working order. These are full-time, non-exempt positions with a starting wage of $23.80–$26.20 per hour, DOQ. Depending on your experience and ACHD’s needs, you may have an opportunity to work with our Grade, Utility, Broom, Vegetation, or Drainage Crew.
Operate light, medium, and heavy-duty maintenance and construction equipment, including dump trucks, water trucks, rollers, sweepers, front-end loaders, backhoes, and other equipment as needed.
Perform a variety of hands-on work related to the construction, maintenance, and repair of roads, sidewalks, storm drains, concrete structures, and other infrastructure within the right-of-way.
Help keep Ada County moving during winter weather by applying sand and deicer to road surfaces and removing snow.
An Idaho Class A CDL with tanker endorsement.
If you have a CDL from another state, you must be able to obtain an Idaho CDL by your start date.
If you do not have a tanker endorsement, you must be able to obtain one within 30 days of employment.
Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be acceptable.
