Do you have a goal of providing services to Idaho’s children and families in the area of child welfare? Do you have personal or professional experience within or in support of programs serving youth and families and/or the child welfare system? The Department of Health and Welfare is hiring a Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialist (PSR) Family Services Worker (unlicensed PSR) in our Boise Office within the Continuum of Care Bureau.

This position supports vulnerable children and families to ensure every child has the stability and opportunity to grow to their full potential, contributing to a healthier community. Responsibilities also include visiting youth placed in congregate care facilities monthly to ensure they remain safe and that their wellbeing and needs are being met.

IMPORTANT:
Incumbents will be required to participate in the Child Welfare Academy in order to learn Idaho child welfare practices and standards and complete Child Welfare Academy assignments. During the probationary period, incumbents carry a reduced child welfare caseload under the guidance of child welfare supervisors or designated experienced child welfare social workers to gain knowledge and expertise necessary to provide professional child welfare services to children and families who are subjects of child abuse or neglect.
