Position TitleSenior Software Engineer (Technical Lead)
Compensation and HoursSalary: $142,141 - $172,380 per year
Hours:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 40 Hours/Week
- Lead the software development team, overseeing design, maintenance, enhancement, testing, and implementation of subsystems.
- Plan, commit, and deliver releases for each milestone in coordination with leadership.
- Work with Product Owner and PMO to select features from the backlog and create work breakdowns for complex features.
- Assess feature status, unblock risks, and elevate critical issues to leadership.
- Conduct release and milestone reviews, ensuring features are delivered optimally to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other Technical Leads on cross‑subsystem dependencies and release risk assessments.
- Provide technical guidance, peer reviews, and oversight for architecture, design, implementation, testing, and defect resolution.
- Evaluate requirements, perform feasibility studies, and recommend design modifications.
- Execute software quality processes including design reviews, static analysis, unit, integration, and verification testing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer, Electrical, Electronic, Math, Physics, or a related field and 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
- Experience in Java (Android) with IDE, and building React/Type Script UI applications.
- Embedded systems development, Test‑Driven Development, and medical device software in regulated environments.
- Expertise with unit testing frameworks (Jest, Robolectric, JUnit, Mockito, Ja Co Co ) and automated tools.
- Hands‑on debugging of applications (Thrift, Bluetooth, Ethernet) and static code analysis (Sonar Qube, Klocwork, ESLint).
- Proficient use of version control (Git, TFS) with branching and merging.
- Experience with Agile project management tools (Azure Dev Ops) and release tracking.
- Strong technical direction abilities, reviewing requirements, architecture, design and coding, and resolving blockers.
- Ability to analyze and estimate work for backlog features, providing clear work breakdowns.
- Collaborative mindset working with diverse software and non‑software stakeholders.
