About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Workday Integration Developer to design, build, and support integrations between Workday and internal and external systems. This is a hands-on role responsible for the full integration lifecycle - from requirements and technical design through development, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
You will work closely with HR, IT, QA, functional teams, and third-party vendors to ensure the Workday ecosystem remains stable, secure, and scalable.
Responsibilities- Design, build, and maintain Workday integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and Workday Web Services (SOAP/REST).
- Develop and support inbound and outbound integrations with payroll, benefits, finance, identity/security, and other enterprise systems.
- Translate business and functional requirements into technical integration designs, data mappings, and XSLT transformation logic.
- Configure secure file transfers, integration scheduling, and credential/connection management.
- Monitor production integrations, troubleshoot failures, and lead root-cause analysis and remediation, including high-priority incidents.
- Support integration security through Integration System Users (ISUs), security groups, and relevant domain and business process policies.
- Partner with QA and functional teams on unit, regression, and end-to-end integration testing.
- Support deployments, change management, release documentation, rollback plans, and knowledge transfer.
- Recommend improvements to existing integrations to increase reliability, performance, and maintainability.

- 5+ years of hands-on experience building and supporting Workday integrations in production environments.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Workday Studio and EIB, including inbound and outbound integrations.
- Solid understanding of the Workday data model, business process framework, and security model.
- Experience with XML, XSLT, and Workday Web Services (SOAP/REST).
- Proven experience troubleshooting and resolving integration issues in live production environments.
- Familiarity with secure file transfer protocols and integration scheduling and monitoring tools.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to work with distributed global stakeholders.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments using Jira or similar tools.
- Workday certifications such as Integration Essential Concepts, Custom Integrations, and/or Workday Studio.
- Experience with Workday Extend, Cloud Connect, or PECI/PICOF integration templates.
- Exposure to Workday Reporting, including Advanced, Matrix, Composite, BIRT layouts, and calculated fields.
- Experience supporting integrations in regulated or security-conscious industries.
- Experience as a Subject Matter Expert during a Workday implementation or major integration migration.
