Fleet Maintenance Supervisor

Overview

As a Penske Maintenance Supervisor you will use your excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills to engage diesel technicians, maintain team morale, and keep customers happy. Your role includes coordinating, scheduling, and auditing vehicle maintenance repairs, including preventative, mechanical, and electrical work on tractors, trucks, and trailers. You will also be responsible for hiring, training, and ongoing development of vehicle maintenance technicians.

Monday – Friday, 2nd Shift

• Prioritize and assign work to meet customer needs
• Ensure quality, compliance, and safety of Penske’s assets
• Control repair, inventory, and labor costs
• Meet and exceed customer satisfaction
• Coach and mentor technicians and CSRs
• Monitor associate work levels
• Facility management – maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Other duties as required by supervisor

• Ability and desire to work in a positive, fast‑paced, high‑energy environment
• 3–5 years fleet maintenance management experience preferred, or at least 3 years team management with strong operational metrics
• High School Diploma or equivalent required;
  Associate’s or technical school degree preferred
• Strong customer service and organizational skills required
• Valid driver’s license required
• Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office and web‑based applications preferred
• Ability to understand and comply with Penske management instructions, guidelines, rules, regulations, and policies
• Adherence to DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety and maintenance policies; correct selection and use of tools, PPE, machine guarding, and best safety practices
• Regular, predictable, full attendance essential
• Willingness to travel within the district and as necessary

• Use hands to grasp, reach, touch, handle, feel, and operate tools or controls daily
• Work safely at heights using ladders and elevated platforms
• Operate safely in all weather conditions
• See and hear to navigate workplace safely
• Regularly lift or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and occasionally up to 100 lbs (45 kg)
