CDL - Delivery Driver

Position Summary

The primary function of a delivery driver is to safely and efficiently operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with company policies and Federal and State regulations to deliver all freight undamaged. Work as a team player to deliver, load/unload materials while providing a world‑class customer service experience.

• Inspect truck/trailer for defects to ensure safe operation.
• Safely load building materials onto flatbed or boom truck and unload products at commercial and residential job sites.
• Deliver materials to assigned area as directed by the customer while prioritizing personal safety and the safety of those around you.
• Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations.
• Report all accidents involving driver or company equipment.
• Lift heavy building materials up to 100+ lbs. for loading/unloading.
• Provide excellent customer service skills and a professional attitude.

• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL); minimum Class B License, Class A strongly preferred.
• Clear three‑year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
• Overall knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations.

• Remain in a stationary position while driving a commercial vehicle 40% of the time.
• Lift heavy building materials up to 80 lbs. for loading/unloading.
• Frequently move materials weighing up to 80 lbs. while unloading flatbed.
• Operate commercial motor vehicle and/or boom vehicle, and position self to unload materials from flatbed or boom.
• Judge distance while delivering materials and/or operating boom.
• Communicate with management and coworkers and exchange accurate information.
• Work constantly in an outdoor environment while making deliveries.

• Manage stress depending on customer’s deadline.
• Multitask.
• Receive information and directions.
• Quickly communicate solutions if problems occur.
• Demonstrate a high degree of sound judgement.
