Position Summary
The primary functions of the Delivery Helper are to load, locate job sites, back up, prepare and restore the job site, prepare the truck for the next day, and maintain the truck and equipment.
Duties & Responsibilities- Compliance with company, state and federal guidelines, especially OSHA and DOT for safety of all personnel.
- Perform pre‑trip inspections of equipment, paperwork and loaded product to ensure order accuracy.
- Safely unload product and deliver to assigned area as directed by the customer.
- Secure mud, equipment, metal, and pallet on truck.
- Navigate routes to the job site.
- Ability to read, write and communicate information accurately.
- Stamina to lift at least 75 lbs to carry materials such as drywall and joint compound.
- Display trust, integrity and servant leadership.
- Work independently and on a team; lead, execute and/or delegate as needed.
- Build effective working relationships at all levels.
- Create an inclusive environment, celebrate diversity.
- Self‑manage, show initiative, be proactive, drive results.
- Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing.
- Remain standing 90% of the time, constantly moving materials.
- Unload/load flatbed or boom, moving materials up to 100 lbs.
- Communicate with management and coworkers; exchange accurate information.
- Work outside in all weather conditions.
- Prioritize job sites and deadlines.
- Manage stress with customer deadlines.
- Multitask and receive directions.
- Communicate solutions promptly when problems occur.
