Truck Driver

Western Trailers is seeking a full-time Truck Driver. This position is based out of our Boise, , facility.

• The job entails delivering new and used empty and occasionally loaded trailers throughout the continental US, but primarily focused on the 11 Western States
• The trailers could be stacked, single, double, or triple trailers.
• Ensure loads are loaded and secured correctly.
• Display an attitude of cooperation and work harmoniously with all levels of company employees.
• Adhere to company policies and rules and promote safety standards.
• Pick up and deliver trailers to and from customer locations.
• Responsible for pre-trip inspections on the tractor and trailers.
• A Class A CDL with a doubles and triples endorsement.

• $.55 per mile
• $19.90 per hour for local transports
• $100.00 wash out per trailer
• $25.00 tarp / $25.00 un-tarp

• Pre-employment DOT drug test
• Background check, DOT physical, CDL driving test, Proof of eligibility to work in the US.
• Must be capable of operating vehicles in various driving conditions
• Ability to perform work accurately, independently, and in a timely manner.
• Able to operate various truck models and transmissions.
• Must have an acceptable driving record.
• Must comply with all company and traffic policies and regulations.
• Possess strong attention to detail.
• Courteous and pleasant demeanor when speaking with and working with customers.
• Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

• Cranking landing gear up and down.
• When needed, responsible for strapping trailers for transporting.
• Squatting, kneeling, bending, pushing, pulling.
• Step in and out of the tractor.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs.

• CDL Driver’s License and Medical Card
• Required DOT driving experience of at least 4 years
• High School Diploma or equivalency
