Property Accountant

Our Commercial Client is looking for a Property Accountant

Onsite in Downtown Chi

• Assist with accounting & cash management for real estate and non-real estate entities (restaurants & shared office entities)
• Monitor and analyze hotel joint venture operations.
• Prepare financial statements and supplemental schedules for annual tax returns, lender reporting and owners.
• Participate in monthly general ledger closing process, including preparation of schedules and financial statements.
• Assist with the cash management function, including monitoring cash balances, maintaining cash summaries and preparing bank reconciliations.
• Input and review tenant lease information in Yardi.
• Work closely with Project Manager to compile tenant improvement draws.
• Prepare and manage monthly utility billings payment and tenant bill-back process.
• Prepare and coordinate annual property budgets.

• 2 to 5 years of related accounting experience with a commercial real estate firm
• Strong accounting and analytical skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Extensive working knowledge of Yardi (general ledger software), MS Excel and MS Word.
