Operations AdministratorFull Time Employee Bolingbrook, IL, US
Salary Range: $20.00 To $22.00 Hourly
Schedule: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Benefits: Up to 40 hours of PTO available
Position OverviewOperations Administrator signs drivers in and out, verifies and maintains records on incoming and outgoing shipments, and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards.
Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Creating Bills of Lading.
- Assisting drivers with delivery and/or customer order information.
- Verifying all parts, work instructions, and shipping details meet customer specifications.
- Data entry of shipping orders by UPS, LTL, etc.
- Scanning and organizing electronic documents.
- Performing all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Maintaining the work area in a clean and orderly condition and following prescribed safety regulations.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position can be both sedentary and active and requires standing, walking, and movement from workstation to printer/copier.
- Preparing inbound tally sheets, bills, loading tickets, and manifests for dock operations.
- Reconciling received inbound BOLs against shippers' initial orders entered.
- Comparing inbound bills to NCS P-manifest and correcting differences.
- Initiating requests for Bills of Lading when missing.
- Monitoring and responding to delivery appointment emails for inbound loads.
- Receiving and responding to email requests in a timely manner.
- Assisting in updating the NCS system (Revenova).
- Updating freight status using the WMS system.
- Verifying and acknowledging case counts from dock employees on the P-manifest.
- Stamping and signing all paperwork necessary for receiving orders.
- Creating, assembling manifests, and building packets that contain all necessary outbound paperwork.
- Distributing outbound paperwork to carriers/drivers.
- Entering orders from WMS into the Walgreens SIMS system.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Able to self-manage, be organized, and task-oriented.
- Must be able to work quickly and efficiently.
- Basic knowledge of computers and the ability to learn basic data entry to maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Efficient and accurate accountability of paperwork for inbound and outbound orders/shipments.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, as dictated by business needs.
- Able to understand all aspects of Bills of Lading.
- Proper telephone etiquette.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate via email and phone.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office.
