The Role
The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for processing incoming stock inventory with accuracy and efficiency, maintaining warehouse truck schedule, process inventory adjustments and transactions, provide accounting necessary documentation to process vendor invoices, ensure the warehouse has documentation needed in order to process shipments, and working with management and vendors to ensure any potential issues are identified and resolved.
A successful candidate will be self-motivated, results driven, and have a proven ability to analyze and extract actionable information from large amounts of data. A candidate must also be able to foster collaborative relationships with all stakeholders and have an understanding of the end-to-end supply chain.
This position reports to the Purchasing Supervisor in the Purchasing Department.

Starting rate: $22.00 per hour

- Process inbound stock shipments for assigned mills within 24 hours.
- Perform landed cost analysis.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Provide documentation to Accounts Payable.
- Assist Accounting with auditing questions and pending credits/unpaid invoices.
- Ensure EDI documents are received.
- Identify and communicate compliance issues with vendor, demand planner, and purchasing supervisor.
- Issue vendor and freight claims.
- Conduct daily cycle counts.
- Post inventory and cycle count adjustments.
- Maintain truck schedule and ASN queue.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate relevant information to leadership.
- Uphold security and confidentiality of proprietary S&S information.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or associate’s degree, preferred.
- 1+ year related experience in inventory or accounting.
- Or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
