A
Business Development Manager is responsibleforpursuingnew saleswhilegrowing andmaintainingcustomer relationships. This position will develop relationships,anticipatecustomer needs,trouble shootproblems,and closesales.

As a Business Development Manager at Elevations/ Schill Grounds Management, you must be able to perform the following essential functions of the job:

  • Research and identify potential clients for our landscaping and snow removal services.
  • Call on prospective clients, seek out, and build relationships with key decision-makers in these organizations.
  • Work with other Schill team members to develop proposals that speak to the client’s needs and concerns.
  • Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements, and working through differences to result in a positive outcome.
  • Anticipate customer needs and make suggestions to enhance current or future locations.
  • Attend industry functions and stay abreast of market trends.
  • Be prepared to educate potential clients on current landscaping trends and practices.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
JOB SKILLS AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS
  • Strong communication, written, and formal presentation skills
  • Proficiency in closing the sale.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, results-oriented professional with an ability to work with minimum direction
  • Strong project management and customer relations skills
  • A positive attitude and a knack for working in a cooperative team environment
  • Must be extremely organized
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an outgoing personality
POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record to meet fleet insurance standards

Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience

3-5 years of business-to-business sales experience

Strong computer skills in the Microsoft Suite and CRM systems

WORK CONDITIONS

Employees in this position should expect frequent local travel and must be able to offer flexibility with work hours outside of regular business hours to meet client needs. This position may require working from various locations or from home, as needed.
