Superintendent (Sustainable Building Projects)

$105,000 - $145,000 per year | Western Springs, IL | On-Site | Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all on‑site construction activities from preconstruction through project closeout
• Manage day‑to‑day field operations including subcontractors, scheduling, safety, and quality control
• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are achieved
• Coordinate closely with project managers, design teams, and clients to ensure seamless execution
• Enforce safety protocols and maintain a safe, compliant jobsite at all times
• Lead subcontractor meetings and ensure alignment with project goals and expectations
• Monitor project progress and proactively address challenges to avoid delays or cost overruns
• Ensure workmanship meets company standards and project specifications

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction
• Experience with ground‑up and/or renovation projects (education, municipal, or commercial preferred)
• Strong knowledge of construction means & methods, scheduling, and sequencing
• Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and complex project logistics
• Familiarity with construction management or design‑build delivery methods preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
• Proficiency with construction technology (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.)

Education &

Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
• OSHA 30 certification strongly preferred
