The Valley View Public School District is seeking an individual to fill a full-time Student Resource Team (SRT) Leader position for the school year.

JOB SUMMARYThe SRT Leader is responsible for working with administration and staff to improve instructional outcomes for learners; coordinating building-based special education programs and services; coordinating problem-solving activities performed by Student Resource Teams; coordinating and facilitating IEP meetings that comply with both IDEA and ISBE Special Education Rules and Regulations and Procedural Safeguards; and maintaining accurate and up-to-date IEP database and required student records.
Additional duties may from time to time be assigned in accordance with provisions of the Board's policies and requirements.
- Current Illinois Teaching (PEL) Professional Educator Licensure with required endorsement (LBS1, Type 73 School Psychologist or School Social Worker)
- Knowledge of current, research-based teaching techniques and instructional methodologies for children who are at-risk and have special needs
- Familiarity with IDEA and ISBE Special Education Rules and Regulations and Procedural Safeguards
- Familiarity with the use of technology and related IEP databases
- Ability to facilitate problem-solving teams and IEP meetings
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with staff and families
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
Leadership experience working with ISBE
