Project Engineer, Systems Engineer

Overview

The Project Engineer supports the design, execution, and documentation of engineered system solutions. This role combines hands-on system design with shop coordination and customer-facing technical support.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage system documentation in ERP and document control systems
• Refine and update existing engineered products based on customer needs
• Design and layout light hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Develop schematics and system designs using 2D/3D CAD tools
• Coordinate shop builds from concept through final approval
• Support manufacturing with drawings, models, and technical guidance
• Lead system testing and ensure quality prior to shipment
• Provide technical support to customers

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of engineering or systems-related experience
• Background in mechanical or engineered equipment environments
• Working knowledge of electrical layouts and panel-based systems
• Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Solid Works
• Familiarity with PLC ladder logic (Rockwell), VFDs, and basic HMIs
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills

Office-based with regular interaction in a shop or production setting.
