About the RoleThe HSE Manager is responsible for all aspects of safety and compliance for plant, office, and job site activity.
Responsibilities- Responsible for health, safety, and environmental coverage all of field and plants staff for the North America region.
- Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining plants and field safety manuals for the full scope of our business in the assigned region, across multiple countries throughout North America, Central America, and South America.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining a robust Jobsite Safety Analysis (JSA) program.
- Conducts field safety and plant audits at jobsites in the Americas regions.
- Responsible for developing an environmental program aimed at reducing the company’s resource impact in field operations.
- Works primarily independently to achieve goals outlined by management.
- Ability to work & communicate in diverse groups from manufacturing floor workers, field technicians to senior management.
- Assist in rolling out all Global HSE programs as implemented.
- Creates all field documents needed for the sites and assist in making risk assessments.
- Train all field and plants employees in the latest requirements and additional job requirements.
- Assist in creating all documents needed for the field and plant sites.
- Order all safety supplies for the field and plant sites.
- Assist in training plant employees in the perspective regional requirements.
- Responsible for mentoring and coaching field and site management team in health, safety, and environmental subjects.
- Liaison with Global HSE and Regional management in developing regional strategic planning and implementing global/ regional HSE programs and initiatives.
- Support implementation of corporate environmental, health and safety management systems at regional/ local level.
- Champions company wide risk management programs at regional level.
- Leads and ensures HSE monitoring and governance activities.
- Occupational Safety and Health Bachelor’s degree or 8+ years’ of safety, field, and/ or plants experience.
- Construction field safety.
- Familiar with variety of metals manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Familiarity with OSHA, CAL-OSHA and CCOHS safety standards.
- Experience in the post-tensioning market either from the material or construction side of the industry.
- Spanish and English desirable.
- Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite and email.
- Ability to work in face-paced environment.
- A proactive, honest, and self-reliant personality, critical thinking, pragmatic & strong project management skills.
- Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated.
- Deals with others in a straightforward and honest manner; accountable for actions, maintains confidentiality and supports company goals and values.
