Manufacturing Engineer II
Reporting to the Lead Manufacturing Engineer, this position will be responsible for the continuous improvement of our safety, quality, delivery, and cost through the research and implementation of new equipment, design of new fixtures, and launching of new products/processes into operations. This position will also be responsible for supporting operations and helping resolve issues as they arise.
As a Manufacturing Engineer II you will:- Investigate cutting edge technology and equipment to improve process safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Work with vendors to spec out equipment to meet G&W manufacturing needs and build necessary business case to justify purchase.
- Use 3D modeling to design fixtures to solve ergonomic issues, improve takt times, and improve product quality.
- Participate in new product design reviews to provide feedback on DFMEA, PFMEA, and other assembly considerations.
- Support implementation of new products and product lines from prototype to launch through design of fixturing, creation of cell layout, purchasing of equipment, documentation and training.
- Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished-product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
- Conduct or lead or participate in Process Mapping, FMEA, Kaizans and 8 Step Problem Solving, Quality Control Plan development, DFM, initiatives to promote and ensure that processes are continuously improved.
- Support automated processes used by operations.
- Develop and improve work instructions and training.
- Holds a Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or related Engineering field.
- Has 4+ years' experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Is computer proficient.
- Has excellent problem solving skills with experience using root cause analysis techniques.
- Possesses 3D CAD experience.
- Six sigma, Red X, or other problem-solving certification or experience.
- Experience with implementing lean manufacturing in an organization.
- 2D CAD experience for layouts.
- Experience with injection molding processes.
Typical pay is $85,000 - $97,193 annually.

This position is eligible for participation in our Quarterly Incentive Pay Program.
