Job Description

We are seeking an Electronics Test Technician to join our Test Engineering team. The successful candidate will support manufacturing and validation test activities for battery systems and electronic assemblies, working closely with Test Engineers to ensure product quality, reliability, and compliance.

Responsibilities

+ Set up and execute electrical and functional tests using test stations and documented test procedures.

+ Support end-of-line (EOL) and validation testing for battery packs and printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs).

+ Troubleshoot test failures and assist Test Engineers with root cause investigations.

+ Maintain test equipment, fixtures, and lab organization.

+ Accurately document test results, issues, and work instructions.

+ Support continuous improvement of test processes and station reliability.

Essential Skills

+ Associate's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.

+ 2+ years of experience as a Test Technician, Electronics Technician, or similar role.

+ Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as digital multimeters (DMMs), power supplies, oscilloscopes, and data acquisition (DAQ) systems.

+ Ability to follow test procedures and read basic electrical documentation.

+ Comfortable working in a manufacturing or engineering lab environment.

Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience supporting battery systems, power electronics, or test stands.

+ Proficiency in electronics troubleshooting, electrical schematic reading, soldering, and electronics testing.

Work Environment

The role is based in a manufacturing or engineering lab environment, where the candidate will work closely with test engineers and operate various test systems to ensure product quality and reliability. The work involves using lab equipment such as DMMs, power supplies, oscilloscopes, and DAQs, while adhering to documented test procedures. The position requires maintaining test equipment and lab organization, with a focus on continuous process improvement.

This is a Contract position based out of Bolingbrook, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $34.00/hr.
