G&W Electric Co. seeks an NPD Project Engineer III to lead development of innovative power distribution products for global utility and industrial customers. In this role, you will manage full project life cycles from concept through production, driving design, prototyping, validation, and release for manufacturability. Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure performance, safety, cost, and quality targets. Support root-cause analysis, testing, and design optimization, while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to continuous improvement and reliability of grid solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end NPD projects from concept through production launch
- Develop and review designs using CAD/CAE to meet performance, safety, and cost targets
- Plan and coordinate prototyping, validation, and qualification testing
- Drive design for manufacturability and collaborate with operations and supply chain
- Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions for product issues
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and customer requirements
- Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, BOMs, and change records
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage project schedules, risks, and deliverables
- Mentor junior engineers and share best practices in NPD processes
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across product and engineering processes
