Staff Accountant

We’re looking for a Staff Accountant to join a leading client in Bolingbrook, IL. Qualified candidates should have experience in general ledger reconciliations, month-end close activities, financial reporting, expense analysis, and incentive/commission processing within a fast-paced accounting environment.

Staff Accountant

Bolingbrook, IL

Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

On Site

• Complete monthly reconciliations for 40+ General Ledger accounts
• Review monthly BSG reconciliations and resolve outstanding items
• Analyze sales expense reports against budget projections
• Compile and distribute monthly financial statements and various financial reports
• Analyze monthly GL expenses versus prior year and identify fluctuation drivers for the Executive team
• Reconcile and review gross profit general ledger postings
• Prepare monthly Executive team expense reconciliations
• Prepare monthly Juice Department P&L reports
• Prepare and distribute monthly M&E reports
• Analyze bonus and incentive payments versus bill-back and GL accruals
• Review and reconcile bank deposit cash postings
• Prepare and post journal entries as needed
• Track incentive program payments and submissions to avoid duplicate payouts
• Process incentive payouts and submit payroll payment requests
• Recap and report incentive payouts for team members
• Process supplier bill-backs related to incentive programs
• Prepare ad hoc financial analysis reports for management
• Process monthly revenue, PST, and commission payouts

• Experience with General Ledger reconciliations and month-end close processes
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and expense analysis
• Experience preparing journal entries and reconciling bank accounts
• Ability to analyze financial data and identify trends or discrepancies
• Strong Excel and organizational skills
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
