THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE:

Ulta Beauty is looking for a collaborative team player who employs innovative thinking and enjoys a fast-paced ecommerce atmosphere. This candidate exhibits strong communication skills, is familiar with various analytic tools, and excels at problem solving. The Content Optimization Analyst I is responsible for improving Ulta Beauty's discoverability, visibility, and selection across traditional search engines, generative AI platforms, and intelligent shopping agents.

This role evolves traditional SEO execution into SEO, Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and Agentic Commerce Optimization (ACO), ensuring product content, structured data, and feed narratives are optimized for AI ingestion, citation, and agent-driven transaction.

The Content Optimization Analyst I is responsible for monitoring search performance, AI platforms performance, reporting and keyword research. This individual partners across Marketing, Merchandising, Feed Operations, external partners, and IT to align on-page content and product feed narratives to support both organic ranking and AI selection performance in an increasingly agent-driven commerce landscape. This person must be strong analytically and comfortable handling ambiguity.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Track & understand daily business performance.

* Analyze search data and report trends.

* Keyword research/ranking analysis.

* Perform competitive market analysis.

* Provide Keyword friendly copywriting.

* Collaborate and partner with site merchandisers and channel marketing teams to develop content that supports company goals & SEO performance.

* Refine processes with key stakeholders, like new item setup, that will improve page rankings and other important KPI's.

* Manage store business listings and pages.

* Research beauty trends using Google Trends and other tools.

* Align content narratives across PDPs and structured product feeds to support agent interpretation and ranking.

* Partner with Feed Operations to enhance product attribute clarity, benefit articulation, and structured data consistency.

* Optimize product descriptions and claims to improve AI agent comprehension, ranking, and substitution logic.

Ensure product narratives align across on-site content and feed-level structured data.

* Identify attribute gaps that may reduce agent confidence or generative citation inclusion.

* Support optimization of schema markup and product metadata for agent-ready commerce.

* Optimize product detail pages, category pages, and editorial content for both SEO and GEO performance.

THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:

* BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Marketing or similar discipline.

* Minimum 2 years of experience working with Search Engine Optimization

* Detail oriented individual able to maintain a high level of organization
