TITLE

Lead IT Analyst (Quality Assurance)

HOURS

Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

DUTIES
  • Develop test strategy document and provide relevant updates throughout project lifecycle.
  • Develop risk mitigation & contingency plans as they relate to the test strategy.
  • Own test script development and execution, data sourcing/data provisioning, defect analysis, and ensure proper test result documentation and processes are followed as per the test strategy.
  • Lead QA test planning meetings and hold team accountable to following test strategy document.
  • Work with project manager to determine preliminary QA project plan, necessary resources, project environment, and timeline.
  • Provide key updates to project manager on test execution and progress and validate test execution quality.
  • Prioritize and allocate tasks to multiple contracted resources (onshore and offshore).
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices, review QA deliverables.
  • Conduct presentations regarding QA status and current issues; effectively escape risks and areas requiring management intervention.
  • Responsible for all aspects of QA testing throughout the full project lifecycle (from Blueprinting through Implementation).
  • Apply subject matter expertise to identify, develop, and implement techniques to improve product and process quality (Shift left approach).
  • Leverage automation of regression test scripts to reduce time and resources required.
  • Maintain full traceability between requirements, test cases, test execution, and defects.
  • Prepare and maintain KT documentation for onboarding new analysts and for retaining information during staff roll‑off.
  • Write SQL queries to validate software functions.
  • Ensure complete testing coverage including functional, regression, automation, system integration, performance, and acceptance testing.
  • Collaborate with applications team to ensure quality standards and business requirements are met within a specified timeline.
  • Execute and update automation script test cases via automation tools and programming.
  • Collaborate with test architects, developers, analysts, scrum masters, PMO, and business subject matter experts to incorporate test automation for the application under test as part of the overall test approach/strategy.
  • Continuously improve test plans for supporting applications to simulate real world user scenarios.
  • Actively participate in blueprinting and project development meetings such as backlog grooming and sprint planning.
  • Keep up to date with changes to POS, iOS hardware and software.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Five (5) years of Quality Assurance experience, or related, including:
    • Three (3) years as a QA lead in Store Operations such as POS, Kronos WFM, Workjam task management systems, or Mobile Applications.
    • Three (3) years of hands‑on testing experience with Store & Mobile applications including REST and SOAP API testing, and automation testing, scripting, technology, tools such as Cucumber, Selenium, and Appium.
    • Experience in testing Micros POS, Kronos (WFM), Workjam (Task Management) or Mobile operating systems/platforms (iOS, Android) and device types: handset and tablet.
