Duties And Requirements:
1. Service Now Platform Expertise
• Understanding of Service Now architecture (tables, scripts, workflows, ACLs, etc.).
• Familiarity with Service Now ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Request, CMDB).
• Experience with Service Now App Engine for custom applications.
2. Scripting & Development
• JavaScript (primary language for scripting in Service Now).
• Glide API (Glide Record, Glide System, Glide Ajax, etc.).
• Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, Client Scripts, Workflow Scripts.
• Service Portal development using AngularJS, HTML, CSS.
• Integration with third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
3. Configuration & Administration
• Configuring Workflows, Flow Designer, and Automation Rules.
• Setting up Forms, Fields, and UI Actions.
• Managing Access Control Rules (ACLs).
• Understanding Service Catalog & Request Management.
4. ITSM & ITIL Knowledge
• Familiarity with ITIL best practices (especially Incident, Change, Problem, and Asset Management).
• Experience with SLA configurations and notifications.
5. Integration & Automation
• Integration Hub for no-code/low-code integrations.
• Orchestration for automating IT tasks.
• MID Server for integrations with on-premise systems.
6. Performance & Troubleshooting
• Debugging tools like Script Debugger and System Logs.
• Optimizing performance of scripts and queries.
• Managing and maintaining Instance Health.
7. Security & Compliance
• Role-based Access Control (RBAC).
• Data protection and encryption.
• Compliance with governance frameworks.
8. Reporting & Analytics
• Creating Dashboards, Reports, and Performance Analytics.
• Knowledge of CMDB reporting and SLA tracking.
