Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Evaluate new system software, review system software updates, plan installation and testing of new versions, troubleshoot software problems, and advise on proper use.
- Support system design within the functional area and on programs/projects, ensuring adherence to technical strategies, policies, standards, and security practices.
- Contribute to the development of architectures for complex systems, ensuring consistency with specified requirements agreed with both external and internal customers while balancing functional, service quality, and systems management needs.
- Ensure compliance with corporate, industry, national and international standards.
- Develop and maintain the organization’s strategy for managing information, creating and applying standardized data definitions.
- Define business processes and information requirements, devising standards, processes, and data architectures.
- Evaluate statutory, internal, or external regulations impacting information use and develop compliance strategies.
- Monitor and seek opportunities, new methods, trends, capabilities, and products to advance the organization.
- Support governance authority/board by leading review of management processes for compliance with corporate governance strategy and developing architecture policies and standards.
- Contribute to IT strategy development and planning, leading creation or review of an IT strategy that meets business requirements.
- Develop long‑term strategic relationships with senior stakeholders, maintain a strong understanding of industry and business, and act as a subject‑matter expert on technology.
- Maintain and evolve the OMS roadmap, integrating company business and IT priorities.
- Evaluate new product features and ensure fitment within the company.
- Serve as IT System SME, providing technical and best‑practice guidance to the Enterprise Systems team.
- Understand enterprise initiatives, transform information to prepare solution roadmaps, product strategy, and architectural blueprints that outline solutions for complex business objectives.
- Research and evaluate technologies and commercial solutions to determine design options, trade‑offs, and application/vendor selection via RFP.
- Mentor functional and technical teams in solution architecture and design principles.
- Explore and recommend solutions and work‑around options for production issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure applications follow the enterprise roadmap, best‑practice mandates, and compliance requirements.
- Prepare solution architecture documents for upcoming projects.
- Continuously improve processes and design.
- Lead and participate in the yearly Annual Business Prioritization process.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Eight (8) years of IT experience, including architecture, design, and development.
- Three (3) years of leadership experience working as an Architect in Order Management and Omni Fulfillment, preferably leveraging IBM Sterling Order Management Suite.
- Experience in modern architecture, infrastructure design, web platforms, cloud architecture, integration tools, security design, databases, and emerging technology in Omni Channel space.
- Retail experience in Omni Channel order fulfillment, inventory management, reverse logistics, logistics execution, and Omni Channel operations.
- Experience working with Commence on cloud platform and Inventory visibility modules.
- Experience with Sterling Intelligent Promising and store engagement, call center, and settlement modules.
