This opportunity is with a well established technology organization operating a mix of traditional enterprise infrastructure and modern cloud based systems. The environment spans Windows, Linux, Microsoft 365, and AWS hosted containerized workloads, and the team is actively evolving how it operates and automates at scale.
This is not a narrow infrastructure role. The team is intentionally seeking a versatile Systems Engineer who can move fluidly between platforms, respond to operational needs, and take real ownership of outcomes.
If you enjoy variety, autonomy, and being trusted to figure things out, this role offers a rare level of exposure. You’ll touch identity, servers, cloud infrastructure, automation, and even occasional end‑user support, all while helping modernize a historically Windows‑centric environment. Projects may change direction, priorities may shift, and that’s considered normal, so flexibility is a feature here, not a bug.
This role is ideal for someone who wants breadth, enjoys operational problem‑solving, and doesn’t need rigid boundaries to do great work.
Contract Duration: 12– 24 Months
Required Skills & Experience- Strong Windows Server background (Entra , identity, core services)
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments
- Scripting or automation experience (Power Shell required)
- Comfort working in production environments and handling escalations
- Ability to context switch and support multiple teams as needed
- Python scripting or willingness to grow beyond Power Shell
- Hands on Linux administration experience (Red Hat preferred)
- Exposure to AWS infrastructure (ECS, EC2, containers)
- Monitoring experience (Datadog or similar tools)
- Certificate services or internal PKI experience
- Experience supporting SQL Server availability or web platforms
