The Purchasing Coordinator supports the Procurement/Operations department with timely and accurate replenishment orders for raw materials, packaging items, and stock items. This role ensures purchasing is executed within food safety and quality standards, while maintaining cost controls, supply chain efficiency, and operational effectiveness.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Utilize the MRP system to determine and accurately order raw materials, packaging, and supply stock items.
- Place, confirm, and track purchase orders with suppliers to ensure on‑time, in‑full deliveries (OTIF).
- Verify that purchase orders and supplier confirmations are accurate for item, price, quantity, delivery date, and location.
- Collaborate closely with Procurement, Transportation, and Supply Planning departments.
- Ensure only QA‑approved suppliers provide raw materials and packaging.
- Maintain supplier compliance and service level agreements.
- Maintain supplier transactional documentation and pricing accuracy in the MRP system, reporting discrepancies to Buyer.
- Keep inventory levels within company guidelines.
- Act as the first line of contact for resolution of delivery, invoice, and service issues.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Supply Chain, or related field).
- Minimum of 2 years of purchasing, administrative, or supply‑chain experience (manufacturing preferred).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Experience with ERP/MRP procurement systems.
- Ability to manage multiple department requests in a fast‑paced production setting.
No supervisory responsibilities.

COMPENSATIONSalary: $50,000.
