The Manager, Integrated Planning is responsible for building and advancing an integrated planning capability across G&W Electric’s North American operations. This role unifies demand planning and supply planning processes to create a cohesive, data-driven planning function that improves forecast accuracy, material alignment, and execution reliability across the network.
This role owns demand planning, material and supply planning logic, and supply chain master data governance, while influencing purchasing, inventory strategy, and production planning to ensure alignment to the demand signal. The Manager will serve as a key architect in evolving current planning processes, systems, and decision‑making frameworks—transitioning from fragmented, reactive planning toward an integrated, forward‑looking model that supports business growth.
This role requires a builder mindset, strong analytical capability, and the ability to operate effectively in an evolving environment with high ambiguity. The position will work closely with Purchasing, Strategic Sourcing, Market Insights, Production Planning, IT, and Operations leadership to drive system‑enabled planning processes and improved business outcomes.
As a Manager of Integrated Planning you will:
Planning Transformation & Integration- Build and advance an integrated demand and supply planning function across North America
- Identify and address gaps in current planning processes
- Evolve planning methodologies to forward‑looking, data‑driven models
- Own statistical and consensus demand forecasting
- Lead the monthly demand planning cycle, ensuring accurate short, medium, and long‑term forecasts
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Finance to gather market intelligence, new product launches, and customer insights
- Partner cross‑functionally to improve forecast accuracy and accountability
- Challenge assumptions and validate forecast inputs using historical data, trends, seasonality, and statistical models
- Own supply planning processes to ensure demand requirements are met while optimizing cost and inventory
- Align production schedules, supplier capacities, and material availability with forecasted demand
- Oversee constrained supply allocation decisions during shortages or disruptions
- Balance make/buy decisions, capacity loading, and inventory positioning
- Manage planning horizons for tactical, operational, and strategic supply plans
- Coordinate with manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and suppliers to resolve supply issues
- Improve material forecasting approaches and methods
- Integrate supplier constraints into planning processes
- Lead the monthly Sales & Operations Planning process
- Facilitate executive review meetings with clear recommendations and decision support
- Reconcile demand, supply, inventory, capacity, and financial plans
- Escalate business risks, gaps, and opportunities with mitigation scenarios
- Ensure alignment between commercial strategy and operational capabilities
- Mature planning processes toward best‑in‑class IBP standards
- Influence inventory strategies, targets and policies
- Align demand plans, supply plans, and purchasing execution
- Lead system enhancements, automation, and digital planning transformation initiatives.
