Operations Manager

Compensation: $100,000 - $110,000 Base Salary + Bonus Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Distribution Center Manager to lead a high-volume logistics and warehouse operation in the Bolingbrook area. This leadership role is responsible for driving operational performance, developing teams, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining a safe and efficient distribution environment.

The ideal candidate will combine strong operational expertise with excellent people leadership skills. Success in this role requires a hands-on management style, the ability to build strong customer relationships, and a proven track record of achieving results within a fast-paced warehouse or third-party logistics environment.

• Lead all day-to-day warehouse and distribution operations, ensuring service, quality, safety, and productivity objectives are achieved.
• Manage operational performance through KPI tracking, workforce planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and manage site budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication and solution-oriented problem solving.
• Develop, coach, and mentor supervisors and team members to support employee growth and organizational success.
• Oversee inventory accuracy, warehouse flow, space utilization, and operational efficiency.
• Create a positive, accountable, and engaged work environment that promotes employee retention and performance.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations.
• Drive process improvements that support operational excellence and enhanced customer service.
• Partner with senior leadership to execute strategic initiatives and achieve business objectives.
• Oversee facility operations, maintenance coordination, and equipment readiness.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years of warehouse, distribution, logistics, or 3PL experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing supervisors and frontline teams.
• Proven ability to lead customer-focused distribution operations.
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and operational metrics.
• Demonstrated success improving operational performance through process optimization and continuous improvement.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong problem-solving ability and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
• Experience using warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

• Third-party logistics (3PL) leadership experience.
• Multi-shift warehouse or distribution operations leadership.
• Experience supporting complex customer accounts.
