Job Title: Industrial Lead Maintenance Mechanic

Job Summary: The Industrial Lead Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for supporting production by maintaining operation of machinery and mechanical equipment, including automated equipment. This role serves as a lead for other mechanics on the weekend crew, troubleshooting mechanical and basic electrical systems to maintain and repair equipment.

Schedule
  • Friday - 5 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday - 5 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Monday - 5 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Compensation

Compensation Details: Hourly rate of pay between $24.71 - $37 per hour depending on years of experience. Shift premium of $1.50 per hour.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead maintenance mechanics by providing support, training, etc.
  • Complete daily preventative maintenance and daily tasks.
  • Assist and become an active member of the HAZMAT team.
  • Read and understand mechanical and electrical diagrams and technical repair manuals.
  • Able to diagnose and troubleshoot automated equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical breakdowns in a timely manner.
  • Apply knowledge of occupational hazards and necessary safety precautions applicable to maintenance work.
  • Operate lifts and material handling tools as needed.
  • Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment as needed.
  • Able to adapt to fast-paced work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Must be able to cover other days and weekends as needed.
  • Associate Degree or equivalent in a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience working on automated (PLC’s, Vision Systems) equipment.
  • Proven experience with Textor/Weber/Multivac.
  • Proven experience with 480V.
  • Proven experience with pneumatics.
  • Proven ability to read prints/schematics/drawings.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical field in an industrial or manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • Must practice good personal hygiene.
  • Ability to work in varying temperature conditions.
  • Basic computer skills such as CMMS, L2L, Google Suite.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Experience in food manufacturing or process is a plus.
  • Ability to adjust quickly to changing demands.
  • Must be able to work with limited supervision.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and work on aerial work platforms as needed.
  • Candidates must successfully pass post-offer/pre-employment drug test, background screen and physical.
