DepartmentFinishing Department
Role summaryThe Finishing Department takes printed panels and turns them into individual cards. The Lamination process turns individual layers of plastic into sheets of credit cards using heat, pressure, and time. This is a fast-paced area where consistency and attention to detail are essential as products transition to the next stage of production. This role works 1st shift Monday - Friday 5:30am - 1:30pm and requires the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues like changing electrical pins and suction cups within the machine.
Starting at $17/hour, increases based on experience.
- Ability to comprehend and translate written work instructions to provide training to other employees and temporaries assigned in the department
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to perform multiple tasks in a time sensitive, deadline driven environment
- Understanding of quality processes and procedures
- Understanding the influences of the vision system (pixels, lighting, masking and filters – ensuring that the correct vision file is created)
- Safety conscious with a good understanding of general safety requirements
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
- Exposure to shop noise
- Required to lift up to 40 lbs
- Ability to operate mechanical machinery
- Physically able to bend, lift, and stand over long periods of time
- Flexibility on schedule (overtime and weekend work as needed)
- Ability to look at work being produced in a high-speed environment for extended periods
- Adheres to Master Card and Visa association security standards
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical trade school training preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar manufacturing role
- Basic computer skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
