Job Summary:

The Production Supervisor oversees daily operations on the production floor to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. This role leads a team of production employees, coordinates workflow, resolves issues in real time, and ensures production targets and deadlines are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

* Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of production employees to meet production schedules and quality standards.

* Monitor workflow, assign tasks, and manage labor to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.

* Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment; enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety checks.

* Provide on-the-floor coaching, direction, and feedback to production staff; assist in performance evaluations and disciplinary actions when necessary.

* Troubleshoot production issues, equipment breakdowns, or delays in coordination with maintenance and engineering teams.

* Ensure accurate reporting of production metrics, downtime, scrap, and other operational data.

* Lead start-of-shift meetings and communicate daily goals and expectations clearly to the team.

* Partner with Quality Assurance to uphold product standards and quickly address quality concerns.

* Support continuous improvement initiatives and encourage team engagement in problem-solving.

* Manage timekeeping, attendance, and basic administrative tasks for team members.

Qualifications:

* Associates degree required, bachelor's degree preferred, or 5 years' experience in manufacturing in lieu of degree

* At least three (2) years' supervisory experience in a manufacturing/production setting

* Strong understanding of production processes, workflow management, and safety regulations.

* Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.

* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

* Proficiency with production systems, ERP software, and basic Microsoft Office tools.

* Ability to work flexible hours or shifts, including overtime, weekends, or holidays as required.

Accountabilities:

* Achieve UPH productivity targets.

* Reduce Incident Reports.

* Maintain low scrap levels.

* Achieve Service Level goals.

* Safety & Environmental Compliance

* Workforce training and development

* General maintenance and performance of the department.

Physical Requirements:

* Must be able to stand, walk, and move throughout the production floor for extended periods.

* Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, bend, stoop, reach, and perform other physical tasks as needed.

* Exposure to noise, temperature variations, and industrial equipment.

The pay range for this position is $72,989 - $80,455 and is eligible for an annual bonus.
