Responsible for leading all production operations within the EMV manufacturing department, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality output. Accountable for achieving departmental KPIs in safety, scrap reduction, productivity, on-time delivery, and cost control, while developing a high-performing operations team. Drives performance through Lean manufacturing, KPI management, and strong team leadership. Partners with maintenance to ensure equipment uptime and availability.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership
* Lead daily EMV production operations to meet output, quality, and delivery targets.
* Execute production schedules and ensure alignment with customer requirements and inventory accuracy.
* Monitor and improve KPIs: safety, scrap, efficiency, throughput, cost.
* Collaborate with maintenance to ensure equipment uptime and rapid issue resolution.
Quality and Continuous Improvement
* Reduce scrap and rework through root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
* Ensure compliance with EMV, security, and regulatory requirements.
* Implement Lean manufacturing, standard work, and process optimization initiatives.
Cost & Performance Management
* Manage departmental budget and drive cost-reduction initiatives.
* Provide monthly performance and P&L insights to leadership.
People Leadership
* Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and production staff.
* Ensure training, cross-training, and skill development to support operational flexibility.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Partner with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance to resolve issues and improve performance.
* Support new product introductions and process changes.
Accountabilities:
* Quality of finished goods.
* Meeting production and shipping schedules.
* Compliance with and attainment of departmental KPIs.
* Maintaining and achieving scrap reduction goals.
* Safety & Environmental Compliance.
* Workforce training and development.
* General maintenance and performance of the department.
Job Specifications:
* Work performed in a light industrial setting.
* Exposure to shop noise.
* Occasionally required to lift up to 40 lbs.
* Regularly required to sit, stand, reach, and move about facilities.
* Travel, including international.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
* Minimum 5 years of manufacturing/operations leadership experience.
* Strong analytical skills, including statistical reasoning.
* Experience with operational controls, manufacturing processes, logistics, safety, and quality systems.
* Demonstrated leadership experience developing teams and driving performance.
* Experience with Lean manufacturing and GMP principles.
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* High standards of personal integrity.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in the plastic card, EMV, or secure card manufacturing industry.
The pay range for this position is $125,000-$145,000 and is eligible for an annual bonus.
