Forklift Operator

Position Summary

KENT Precision Foods Group, a member of the KENT Corporation family of companies, has a fantastic opportunity to join their team as a Forklift Operator! This position is responsible for all daily activities involved with warehousing such as shipments/outbound and inbound material handling, loading/unloading trucks, managing the warehouse in a clean and orderly fashion, performing physical cycle counts as needed, and covering for the Warehouse Lead in his/her absence.

Must be forklift certified.

Compensation: $18 to $20 per hour in addition to KENT standard benefits (health, dental, vision, 401k). Final compensation is subject to variation based on the candidate's skills, job responsibilities, location and other factors.

• Fill out accurate receiving log for all packaging and raw materials.
• Match purchase order with bill of lading. Run PFI lot numbers for each pallet.
• Rotate stock for first in first out usage and/or shipments.
• Consult with Shipping or Receiving Supervisor for required materials.
• Advise Quality Control daily of any problems with ingredients or finished goods.
• Inspect trailers for sanitation using BB Trailer Inspection form.
• Advise Shipping/Receiving Supervisor of any shortages, damages, etc.
• Keep warehouse aisles clean of debris, boxes, pallets, etc.
• Repair or destroy any damaged ingredients or finished products as directed. If destroyed, report type, quantity, resource and lot numbers and location to Shipping/Receiving Supervisor.
• Maintain forklifts with proper charging and battery water.
• Maintain adequate records of receiving and/or shipping.
• Do monthly cycle counts on various items per management.
• Do physical counts as instructed per management.
