Job Summary

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for keeping production running by effectively leading and directing the Maintenance Technicians. Areas of focus will be at the facility ensuring the efficient and safe operations of equipment and the manufacturing of quality products in a manner that is consistent with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting in troubleshooting and repair of equipment and machines.
  • Provide on the job training of mechanics.
  • Aide in determining root cause failures and ideas for corrective action.
  • Monitor and approve timecards, vacation, attendance, scheduling and related discipline actions.
  • Provide monthly training to the team.
  • Conduct audits as required.
  • Create, prepare and supervise preventative maintenance (PM) schedules to maintain all equipment, machines, and systems as well as work orders.
  • Work with and communicate with the manager on issues which arise that could adversely impact the operational performance of the facility.
  • Special projects as assigned.
  • Order parts and supplies as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and knowledge of facilities and production equipment maintenance. Direct experience with maintenance planning and/or supervision is preferred.
  • Knowledge: Must have a strong knowledge of CMRP or other maintenance planning platforms.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead, motivate and develop others. Coaching and performance management experience is a plus. Ability to problem solve. Knowledge of timekeeping systems is a benefit. Must be able to work with other departments and follow all food safety guidelines and HACCP requirements. Must have computer skills to communicate and process data.
  • Age: Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States; no sponsor ships are available.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent is preferred.
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to stand for long periods; ability to lift up to 50 pounds, including above the head and below the waist.
  • Environmental: Ability to work in varying temperature conditions.
  • Flexibility: Must be able to work weekends as needed. This may be for training, equipment shutdowns, or unplanned events. Ability to adjust quickly to changing demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Compliance: Must practice good personal hygiene. Candidates must successfully pass a post-offer/pre-employment drug test, background screen, physical and E-Verify.
