About The OpportunityTo maintain facility and equipment to support production and warehousing in a safe working environment. Act as front-line leaders for technical knowledge on highly complex automation or equipment problems. Work with outside contractors and vendors for equipment maintenance and inventory. Communicate with key stakeholders on activities affecting safety, quality, or production. This is a 1st shift, Monday–Friday position in a cold environment.
EssentialJob Functions
- Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements of all equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical device issues and correct problems to maintain productivity and quality standards.
- Minimize downtime by coordinating with all departments.
- Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts, fabricate parts when needed, and adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
- Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories; conserve resources where possible.
- Be responsible for facility maintenance and safety compliance.
- Prepare maintenance reports and communicate actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs.
- Work safely using personal protective equipment and comply with company safety policies and procedures.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and demonstrate commitment to safety and quality in accordance with GMP guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisors/Managers.
High School Diploma or equivalent; 5 years of relevant experience highly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities- Safety-sensitive position requiring constant alertness and safe work practices.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as required by business needs.
- Ability to work effectively in teams and in a production environment with moving equipment and people.
- Strong communication skills with a wide range of roles.
- Basic math, reading, and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, operating and maintenance manuals, work orders, and standard/meteric measurements.
- Familiarity with measurement tools (micrometer, caliper, scale) and electrical testing (VOM).
- Advanced knowledge of machine operations and mechanical functions; ability to disassemble, repair, and troubleshoot plant machines; ability to overhaul and rebuild.
Primarily works in a production or warehouse setting. Requires walking, standing, and bending for the duration of the shift. Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. The facility is a cold environment. 1st shift, Monday–Friday.
Compensation & BenefitsExpected hourly range: $30.00–$35.00. Eligibility for an annual incentive plan and a full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, short and long-term disability, EAP, 401(k) retirement savings plan, PTO, and paid holidays.
