Set-Up Operator

Work Hours:
12 hour shifts 3 - 3, with expected additional hours/weekends mandatory Pay:
Starting at $24 per hour, based on experience and skills
The Set-Up Operator is responsible for configuring, operating, and maintaining multiple types of letter shop inserting systems, including MPS, APS, and Epic equipment. This role ensures accurate, efficient, and high-quality mail production while meeting client specifications and production deadlines
What you'll be doing:
- Set up and operate MPS, APS, and Epic inserting systems for a variety of direct mail and transactional jobs
- Review and interpret job tickets, specifications, and production schedules
- Configure machine components including feeders, folders, inserters, cameras, and conveyors
- Load materials such as envelopes, inserts, and forms into equipment
- Perform test runs and calibrate machines to ensure proper alignment, folding, inserting, and sealing
- Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues such as jams, double feeds, or misreads
- Ensure accuracy of mail pieces, including correct matching and sequencing when applicable
- Verify jobs meet USPS regulations and client quality standards
- Conduct routine maintenance and minor mechanical adjustments
- Document production data, downtime, and quality checks
- Collaborate with supervisors, quality control, and maintenance teams
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow all safety procedures
Who you are:
- Experience operating MPS, APS, Epic, or similar letter shop inserting equipment preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and follow detailed instructions and job specifications
- Basic computer skills for machine interfaces and reporting systems
- High attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced production environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- High school diploma or GED required

Work Environment:
Position operates in a regulated manufacturing print/mail production facility
Physical Demands:
- Stand and walk for up to 12 hours, with frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching
- Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
- Perform repetitive motions in a fast-paced production environment
Security Clearance:
Amsive is a Federal Contractor, and this position may require government security clearance for certain projects.
