The Production Technician is responsible for manufacturing, packaging, labeling, and handling food products according to company specifications, food safety requirements, and production schedules. This position ensures products are produced safely, accurately, and efficiently while maintaining compliance with GMP, HACCP, and company quality standards.
Starting Salary: $18.00 - $22.50 per hour
Hours: 7:00 AM- 3:00 PM
Monday - Friday
Responsibilities- Follow Batch Production Records (BPRs), formulas, and production schedules.
- Weigh, measure, blend, mix, package, and label products accurately.
- Verify ingredients, packaging materials, and lot numbers before use.
- Complete production paperwork and records accurately and in real time.
- Operate production equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain clean and organizedworkareas.
- Follow all GMP, food safety, sanitation, and safety requirements.
- Wear required PPE at all times in designated areas.
- Report food safety, quality, equipment, or safety concerns immediately.
- Assist with inventory control and material handling activities.
- Support line changeovers, cleaning, and sanitation activities.
- Workas part of a team to meet daily production goals.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Manufacturing or food production experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to follow written instructions and complete production records.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Strong attention to detail and reliability.
- Ability toworkin a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to push, pull, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
- Ability toworkin varying temperatures and food production environments.
- Stopworkand notify supervision when a food safety, quality, or safety issue is identified.
- Reject damaged or questionable materials pending supervisor review.
- Accurate completion of production records.
- Consistent compliance with GMP and food safety requirements.
