Powder Coat Operator

G&W Electric Co. is seeking a Powder Coat Operator to support our manufacturing of innovative power grid solutions. In this role, you will prepare, hang, and mask metal components, mix and apply powder coatings, and operate curing ovens to meet quality and production standards. You'll inspect finishes, measure coating thickness, and document results while maintaining a clean, safe work area. Working in a collaborative, quality-focused environment, you'll follow work instructions, use hand and power tools, and support continuous improvement and reliability in our power distribution products.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, hang, and mask metal parts for powder coating according to work orders
• Mix and apply powder coatings using spray equipment to specified standards
• Operate curing ovens and related equipment, adjusting settings per requirements
• Inspect coated parts for coverage, color, and finish defects; measure coating thickness
• Follow safety procedures, including proper PPE use and safe material handling
• Maintain clean, organized work area and equipment to support quality and uptime
• Record production, inspection, and quality data accurately
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and quality goals
