In this pivotal position for the 2026/2027 school year, you'll play a key role in student health, guiding the delivery of essential care and compliance while acting as the authoritative resource for school nursing best practices.

Key

Qualifications:

• Active Professional Educator's License in Illinois with Certified School Nurse (CSN) Endorsement (required)
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Illinois
• Experience conducting hearing and vision screenings
• Strong background in updating and managing IEPs and individual health plans
• Outstanding communication, leadership, and organizational abilities
• Demonstrated commitment to student advocacy and inclusion

Primary Responsibilities:

• Serve as the district's lead Certified School Nurse, overseeing all health service programs
• Conduct, document, and follow up on student hearing and vision screenings
• Collaborate with staff and families to regularly review and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and health plans
• Coordinate with a skilled RN team to reinforce district-wide health standards and responses
• Provide day-to-day and emergency medical care for students during school hours
• Champion preventative care initiatives and health education to foster a safe, healthy school environment
