Position Overview
Hourly Pay Range: $36.00 - $55.80 (determined by expertise and experience).
Position:
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department
Location:
Edwards Hospital – Naperville, IL
Schedule:
36 hours/week, Night shift 7:00 pm – 7:30 am with every third weekend and rotating holidays.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing. If an associate degree is the highest degree, must graduate with a bachelor’s degree in nursing within five years of position start date.
- Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure.
- Current CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within three months of start date.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within three months of start date.
- Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS) within three months of start date.
- At least one year of Emergency Department experience.
- Provides professional nursing care in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures.
- Employs critical thinking skills, assesses patients’ condition, recognizes changes, plans and evaluates care, monitors patients’ progress, and records pertinent observations.
- Delegates appropriate patient care tasks to other staff.
- Functions as a team member to fulfill unit goals.
