Join our Medical Critical Care teams across multiple Chicagoland campuses. Whether you’re seeking a day or night shift, you’ll care for a diverse patient population in a fast‑paced, team‑driven environment focused on clinical excellence and compassionate care.

Days (7a–7p) and Nights (7p–7a).

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self‑care strategies.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
• Document patient care activities, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes, accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high‑quality care.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to infection control policies and safety protocols.
• Respond promptly to life‑threatening situations using established protocols and critical‑care skills.

• Education:
  
  Associate’s Degree in Nursing (required);
  Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred).
• Licensure:
  Registered Nurse (RN) license (required);
  Basic Life Support – CPR (BLS) (required); additional certificates such as FCCS, AWHONN, BEKG, CEN, NRP‑A, PCAS, or TNCC (preferred).
• Experience:
  
  Experience in a specialty area (preferred). Previous experience with Cerner EMR (preferred).
• Skills:
  
  Excellent organization and interpersonal communication; basic computer skills and Microsoft Windows proficiency; effective verbal and written English communication; problem‑solving and critical‑thinking; prioritization and organizational acumen; mental and emotional stability; mature judgment and confidentiality; teamwork; abstract reasoning for patient assessment and plan revision; nursing care methods; leadership and direction; accurate EMR documentation; proficiency in clinical skills and bedside manner; health‑promotion knowledge; EKG knowledge;

Hourly pay range: $33.60 – $56.52. Shift differentials apply.

This position requires the physical ability to perform patient care activities, assist with transfers, and respond to emergencies. Specific physical requirements are described by the employer.
