The Supply Chain Warehouse Quality Manager is responsible for leading and advancing quality execution across Molex AME warehouse operations, with primary responsibility for the Bolingbrook and West Coast distribution and quality hubs. This role ensures robust containment, inspection, and material control processes; drives compliance with ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 requirements; and partners cross functionally with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Customer Quality, and SQA to protect the customer and the business.
This role is highly operational, hand-on, and accountability-driven, with clear ownership for warehouse-related escapes, containment effectiveness, repacking activities, and quality performance within the AME supply chain network.
What You Will Do Warehouse & Supply Chain Quality Leadership- Own quality performance for warehouse and distribution operations, including inbound inspection, containment, sorting, repacking, and material segregation
- Establish standardized warehouse quality processes to prevent escapes and reduce warehouse-driven defects and plant returns
- Serve as the primary quality escalation point for warehouse issues impacting customers or downstream plants
- Lead Layered Process Audits (LPAs) and Quality Concern Reports (QCRs) across warehouse, logistics, and shipping activities
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949; lead internal audits and support external and customer audits
- Lead structured problem solving (8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa) and own corrective and preventive actions with sustained effectiveness
- Lead containment strategies, quality holds, inspections, and sorting; validate effectiveness through data, audits, and trend analysis
- Manage internal and customer escalations, acting as the quality focal point during customer audits, visits, and reviews
- Provide quality support for urgent, high-risk, or escalated shipments, including expedites and hand-carry activities
- Oversee customs clearance, documentation, risk assessments, and post-event reviews to prevent shipment delays
- Develop and track warehouse quality KPIs and translate data into actionable insights for operating reviews
- Drive continuous improvement to reduce defects, inspection burden, and cost of poor quality
- Lead vendor onboarding, performance oversight, and contract execution (including MSAs) in partnership with Supply Chain, Legal, and Procurement
- Lead and develop warehouse quality engineers, technicians, inspectors, and third-party resources
- Set objectives, manage performance, and support training, coaching, and succession planning
- Foster a culture of ownership, discipline, and prevention across warehouse quality, operations, and vendor teams
- Bachelor's degree and/or 5+ years of progressive experience in Quality or Supply Chain Quality, including 3+ years in a leadership or supervisory role
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality standards
- Hands-on experience with containment, inspections, non-conformance management, and corrective actions
- Experience in warehouse, distribution, or logistics quality operations
- Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality standards
- Experience supporting customer quality escalations tied to supply chain or logistics
- Strong SAP quality module familiarity (QN module, MM, QHold, inspections, material status)
This role is not eligible for VISA Sponsorship or transfer.
For this role, we anticipate paying $105,000- $145,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
