Job Summary
This position is a highly motivated, results‑driven seller responsible for driving revenue, delivering an exceptional customer experience, and supporting the fast‑paced operational needs of an Outlet environment. The role blends strong selling behaviors with hands‑on support of merchandise flow, customer pickups, and showroom readiness.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to store sales goals by selling furniture, accessories, and services.
- Consistently execute the company selling process to deliver a positive and efficient customer experience.
- Utilize strong selling skills including customer approach and rapport building, needs discovery and solution selling, overcoming objections and closing the sale, and follow‑up after‑sale service.
- Maximize store promotions, special events, and marketing initiatives.
- Maintain strong product knowledge of features, benefits, pricing, and availability.
- Maintain ongoing communication with prospective and previous customers to drive repeat business.
- Provide a high level of customer service in a fast‑paced outlet environment, ensuring each customer has an informative, efficient, and positive shopping experience.
- Respond promptly to incoming calls, e‑mails, and customer inquiries.
- Assist in resolving customer concerns and delivering timely solutions.
- Support customer pickups and ensure smooth hand‑off of purchased merchandise.
- Assume responsibility for showroom readiness: maintaining displays, tagging, signage, and general cleanliness.
- Support floor moves and merchandise placement.
- Assist with truck days and merchandise flow, including unloading, moving, placing furniture, and wrapping and preparing furniture for take‑with purchases.
- Complete order information, collect deposits, and maintain accurate customer records using company systems.
- Support opening and closing procedures as assigned.
- Demonstrate urgency, enthusiasm, and teamwork in daily store operations.
- Maintain positive working relationships with all team members.
- Support new team members in learning product knowledge and selling behaviors.
- Contribute to a culture focused on sales, teamwork, and customer service.
- Participate in training and development opportunities.
- Utilize company technology and iPad tools to support every customer interaction.
- Capture and maintain accurate customer information, digital comfort guides, and follow‑up details.
- Complete transactions, order entry, and record keeping within company systems.
- Use digital communication tools to support customer follow‑up and ongoing relationship building.
- Demonstrate willingness to learn and use new technology in a retail environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous selling experience with strong closing ability preferred.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport and positively influence.
- Demonstrated persuasion and negotiation skills.
- Effective time‑management and ability to juggle conflicting priorities.
- Ability to work productively as part of a team.
- Commitment to work the schedule and hours required by business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Familiarity with MS Office Suite.
Ability to assist in moving furniture and merchandise using proper equipment; occasionally move or assist in moving furniture up to 350lbs. with team support and equipment. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNone.
CompensationTraining pay:$15–$20 per hour for 2–6 weeks. Post‑training base pay:$11–$15 per hour plus commissions of 1–5% on monthly sales. Total compensation range:$22,880–$80,000+.
