PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Enforce sales, age-verification, and customer-service policies to ensure safe, compliant transactions.
- Monitor and help manage inventory levels for the Bolingbrook store; communicate replenishment needs, shortages, and out-of-stock items to the Assistant Manager and General Manager.
- Assist customers with product consultations to recommend appropriate products based on needs and prior consumption.
- Complete and delegate shift tasks, including: accurate cash handling, POS operation and maintenance, timely data entry in POS and inventory systems, and verification of incoming deliveries for accuracy.
- Maintain compliance with security procedures, vault protocols, and state/local recordkeeping requirements for Bolingbrook operations.
- Keep the sales floor and back-of-house organized, clean, and professionally merchandised.
- Manage verified vendor log procedures and assist with controlled access as required.
- Prepare end-of-day updates and communications for management.
- Document daily activities, incidents, and customer complaints; escalation issues to management and corporate as required.
- Assist with onboarding, training, and development of new hires in partnership with the GM/AGM.
- Support community- and store-specific promotional events and outreach as directed by management.
- Minimum age: 21+. Must meet and maintain eligibility to work in Illinois cannabis retail.
- Must pass required background checks and regulatory clearances.
- High school diploma or GED required; additional retail or supervisory training preferred.
- Minimum 2 years supervisory/management experience in retail, with demonstrated POS and cash-handling competency. Cannabis retail experience strongly preferred.
- Strong customer-service orientation and professional presentation.
- Knowledge of Illinois cannabis regulations and local Bolingbrook municipal requirements preferred; must remain compliant with all regulatory obligations.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills; ability to follow procedures and internalize training.
- Team player with a positive attitude and openness to constructive feedback.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, per store schedule.
- Frequent standing, walking, and use of hands for handling products and operating POS equipment.
- Occasional lifting/moving up to 25 pounds.
- Required sensory abilities: close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and hearing.
