Position: INNOVATION INTERN
At KENT Worldwide, we are driven by innovation, quality, and continuous improvement. Our Bolingbrook Facility is a place for creativity and collaboration, where we bring new ideas to life and support the development of high-quality products. We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Innovation Intern to support both our Regulatory/Document Control and Laboratory Technical teams.

* This role is designed and intended to be performed in Bolingbrook, IL.

* The compensation range for this role is $19 to $21 per hour.

* You'll gain hands-on experience in both regulatory and laboratory functions, exposure to real-world product development and compliance processes, and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that support innovation at KENT Worldwide.

PRIMARY

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Laboratory Technical Support

* Assist with sample creation, primarily for color-related projects.

* Perform analytical testing including:

* Brix

* Viscosity

* Bulk Density

* Specific Gravity

* Colorimetry

* Support recipe testing and potential new recipe development.

* Maintain lab cleanliness and equipment (daily cleaning, bench wipe-downs, machine sanitation).

* Replenish lab ingredients and supplies, and pull finished product samples from production as needed.

Regulatory / Document Control

* Assist with Trace Gains uploads for ingredient documentation.

* Create and update final product specifications.

* Support documentation-related special projects based on current priorities.

* Coordinate and compile formula information.

* Provide general support including collecting missing information and assisting with basic regulatory tasks.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Currently pursuing a degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field.

* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

* Interest in both regulatory documentation and hands-on lab work.
