The Valley View Public School District seeks an individual to fill an Extended School Year Speech and Language Pathologist position serving students from kindergarten through the step program.

Staff Hours8:30am-12:45pm (PNR); 7:45am-12:00pm (BHS); 8:30am-12:30pm (MEC)

Job SummaryThe Speech‑Language Pathologist will provide students with consult, integrated and direct services to support the speech goals outlined in each student's IEP, conduct screening and assessments as part of the IEP/evaluation process, and perform duties as specified by the Board's policies.
Qualifications- Current Illinois (PEL) Professional Educator License in Speech Language Pathology
- Experience as a Speech‑Language Pathologist
- Ability to write and implement Individual Educational Plans (IEP's)
- Excellent communication skills with students, teachers, parents, and the student resource team, with willingness to communicate thoroughly
- Ability to help modify instructional materials for students assigned to this classroom
- Experience communicating with bilingual families verbally and in writing (preferred)
- Previous experience with Extended School Year (preferred)
Teachers will be paid $40.00 per hour. Applicants must work the entire summer session. No vacation times or subs are acceptable.
