Put​/General Labor; Clamp Truck- 1st shift

Job Summary

Load and unload trucks and outside carriers, ensuring proper storage and documentation. Pick orders from warehouse inventory as directed by customers.

• Monday–Friday 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (1st shift)

Hourly rate: $18.00 with a 4‑step wage progression program adding $0.50 every 90 days for qualified employees.

• Load and unload trucks and trailers safely and efficiently using proper procedures.
• Pick, move, and store items ranging from 1 lb to 50 lb or more.
• Complete all required documentation accurately.
• Coordinate with dispatch and sales to resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain orderly warehouse stacking and good housekeeping.
• Spot trailers to maintain yard organization and flow of equipment.
• Coordinate paperwork with drivers after dispatch operations.
• General maintenance of surrounding warehouse area.
• Clean trailers of debris when empty.
• Process outbound freight and cross‑dock as needed.
• Operate Stand‑up Reach Forklifts, Cherry Pickers, and sit‑down forklifts as required.
• Build and break down pallets and stock.
• Work in a fast‑paced warehouse environment.
• Follow all safety procedures at all times.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by manager.

• Operate a Forklift, Cherry Picker, and Stand‑up Reach Forklift proficiently.
• Maintain good communication, problem‑resolution, and people skills.
• Maintain orderly operation of the warehouse.

• 1 year forklift driving experience.
• Certified Forklift License.

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred).

• Must be able to communicate, read, write, and speak English.

• Proficiency in business operating systems, internet software, word processing, and spreadsheet software.

• Occasional lifting and moving of up to 50 lb.
• Use of phone systems, keyboards, and buttons.
• Ability to speak and communicate clearly over the telephone.
• Work in an indoor environment; sit and use repetitive hand motion.
• Frequent walking, standing, and talking.
• Prolonged work hours (up to 8 hours continuous) as needed.
• Operate under stressful situations with strong cognitive skills and task focus.
• Good 20/20 vision (corrected) for reading visual images.
• Meet medical fitness requirements with a certified physician; no controlled substance use.
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, and moderate noise levels.
